[ROOT] keyboard trouble

I also suffer the same trouble. 
The key repeat doesn't work at all the terminal even if I quit the ROOT.
"stty sane" doesn't work at all. 
The situation is recovered after re-login(logout then login).

I don't know it is really related to ROOT but 
please let me know someone knows the solution.

I work under the Red Hat Linux release 7.3 (Valhalla) with gcc 3.2.3 and
use ROOT placed at /afs/cern.ch/sw/root/v3.10.02/rh73_gcc32/root.
