Yes:
	root [] t->Scan("px"); > myscan.txt

> - is it possible to change the name and maximum size of .root_hist?

Yes you can change the name. You need to have a .rootrc and modify
it accordingly (for example cp $ROOTSYS/etc/system.rootrc ~/.rootrc
and manually edit .rootrc).

No the size can not be change for now.

This is not possible at the moment.

Cheers,
Philippe.

Subject: [ROOT] Three questions

Hi,

three questions about interactive usage of root:
- is there a way to redirect the screen output to a file?
- is it possible to change the name and maximum size of .root_hist?
- how can I tell root to keep original cut names and NOT to expand cut
definition, e.g. when producing histograms with MyTree->Draw(value,cut)?

Thanks for help.
