Hi John, As you see rootcint is trying to open a file with embedded quotes ("). This is the origin of the problem. I would recomment to try to create the dictionary in a directory without spaces in its name. Cheers, Philippe. -----Original Message----- From: owner-roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch [mailto:owner-roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch]On Behalf Of Dr. John Krane Sent: Monday, March 29, 2004 2:39 PM To: roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch Subject: [ROOT] root dictionaries in .NET Hi, I'm trying to follow the instructions set out by Francois-Xavier Gentit's web site <http://www.slac.stanford.edu/%7Egentit/>. It is all tedious, but straightforward, as F-X says. Unfortunately, I get the following odd error: TMatrixQUtils: building ROOT dictionary Error: rootcint: failed to open "C:\Documents and Settings\jkrane\Local Settings\Temp"/\s2lk._rootcint in main Project : error PRJ0019: A tool returned an error code: "TMatrixQUtils: building ROOT dictionary" I have set that particular directory to "Full Control" by "Everyone", and yet rootcint complains. Any ideas? - John -- Dr. John Krane jkrane@netzero.com ################################################################# ################################################################# ################################################################# ##### ##### ##### ################################################################# ################################################################# #################################################################
