Hello Glen, Where the VC6 issue came from? The web page: http://root.cern.ch/root/Version400.html indicates clearly, ". . . WindowsXP/NT/w2000 with VC++ 7.0 (runs with VC++6), version 4.00/03 ... " For me this may have causes just an opposite question ( if any) It says (at least for me). ROOT IS compiled with VC7 and the binary is backward compatible with VC6. Hope this helps, Valeri > > Glen
