Hi Christian, This gv message doesn't give any extra information. The one I got with acroread trying to display your first file was clear enough: something is wrong in the binary part of that particular file. But I can only repeat what I said, without a macro reproducing it, it is hard to debug this problem. Can you try to start root with the option "-n" to avoid to execute the root logon file, and check if you still have the problem in that case ?
