[ROOT] compiling with ROOT

Hello, I`m attempting to compile a program linking with the
ROOT libraries. I`ve looked under root/test at the makefile
but I`ve found it rather confusing. What I want to compile is
magroot.C which #includes headers.h which in turn includes 10
or so other header files. Could someone give me either a hand
directly with the makefile code or a more beginner-friendly
example/link?
