[ROOT] TEventList and TTree::Draw(...,nentries)

Dear rooters,

I would like to limit the number of entries processed by TTree::Draw. I
find that

    t.Draw("x", "", "", 123 )

only stops after 123 events when as there is no eventlist set on the tree.
Am I doing something wrong?
