Corresponding with Valeriy Onuchin, I understand that there is a significant GUI bug in 4.00/08c that affects a relatively common machine configuration (GNOME + sawfish). Since the bug is fixed in CVS, is there any chance of back-porting it into a released production version? I suppose the other option is to use 3.10/02. The reason I ask is that I am in the process of picking software versions to be used by a working group for the next several months.
