[ROOT] root installation

Dear all,
               I am using FermiLinux and I am willing to install ROOT. I have downloaded the recent version and here is the message I get:
                                   /usr/local/root
[root@Hercules root]# ./configure
Configuring for linux
Checking for libX11 ... no
configure: libX11 (package x11-devel) MUST be installed
[root@Hercules root]#

So the next step -as a friend of mine suggested -is to run yum in order for this package to be installed, therefore:

[root@Hercules root]# yum install x11-devel
Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)
Server: Fermi Linux lts301 notsupported rpms
Server: Fermi Linux lts301 main
Server: Fermi Linux lts301 updates
Server: yum update
Finding updated packages
Downloading needed headers
Cannot find a package matching x11-devel
No actions to take
[root@Hercules root]#

Any suggestion how to downoad the requested  files and  what path should I install it to?
