Hi,
This problem is now solved in the CVS repository. It happened when the
current directory and the root installation directory were in a different
disk/paritition (ROOT was ignoring the drive specification in the paths).

I have also similar problems, but I have only msvc6 available for the
moment.
This msvc6 contains a compiler bug as I was told, so I hope to be able to
test things with msvc7.1 soon.
