Hi Claire,

I see your point, but the "problem" is not what you describe think. The
error bars arecorrectly drawn. They stop at the markers' edges. This can
be clearly seen on the top left plot your sent us. As you can see, on
that plot, the more left square marker is not crossed by a line whereas
the two others are. These crossing lines are not the errors bars related
to the squares but are those linked to the solid circles drawn at the
same X position. To convince you it is the case, just change the line
color of the errors bars connected to the solid circles.
So there is nothing we can do. In fact, in a such plot, using different
colors or line width for the errors bars would greatly help to avoid
mistakes in the plot interpretation.

 Cheers, Olivier

Subject: [ROOT] Error bars showing inside markers

Hi,

I have a bit of an asthetic problem. I have a histogram and I've chosen
hollow marker styles e.g. 25 (hollow square). However, the error bars,
instead of stopping at the edge of the square seem to go part-way inside
it. Is there something I can do to stop this? I'm using v4.00/06.

Thanks,

Claire
