Dear Sir or Madame,

Hello. i am a new graduate student at CERN tryint to learn ROOT. i have a question about the windows version, on which i am running version 4.02/00-the recommended version from under the "pro" listing. here is my question:

i graphed the "sin(x)/x" function and when i attempted to put it into 2-D using the "DrawPanel" the DrawPanel which open under windows is not the one pictured in the manual (note i'm using manual version 4.08). the panel i get in fact is VERY simple and allows for nothing more then changing the colors of the line, background of the graph, etc. is this a common problem? am i missing some required library or file? my office-mate is running an older version of ROOT under linux and he gets the DrawPanel pictured in the manual.

Thank you for your time,
