Hi Christian,

   concerning you GUI, the only thing you have to remember is that you cannot derive in scripts from compiled classes and call virtual methods of the base class. However, with the night signal/slot mechanism this is not a problem anymore for GUI's, check $ROOTSYS/tutorials/guitest.C.
