Hi,

After some investigation we found that the problem was due to a problem in the version of pdf2latex used by Alexander.

Subject: [ROOT] Transparent TF2

Hi!

Today I experienced a problem making TF2 contour plots transparent. First of all I did not find a way to set the FillStyle for the TF2 to 4000.

So I searched quite a bit in roottalk's archive and found a solution using a transparent overlay. (See included source.)

My first question is: is there a better way to get a transparent diagram background?

Then I generated a pdf which should be included in a beamer.sty-style LaTeX-presentation. Unfortunately pdflatex is complaining about an invalid pdf-file :( (Dictionary and Fonts.) I'm not sure wether this is a problem of root or of pdflatex.

Then I tried to generate other file formats, but eps is not transparent :( And if I convert the transparent pdf to eps for inclusing in my pdflatex-document the diagram get's an opaque background again.

Any solution to this problem?

Root is Version 4.00/08 (PRO). As I read on roottalk pdf-code wasn't touched since quite a while so I don't suspect a fix in later root-versions.

Attached is my "workarround-code" based on some sample posted here on roottalk.
