Make txt_files in files.root

Hi

I have a txt file with three coloums day, time and temperature e.g: 2004/10/12 12:15:32 19.605 

     2004/10/12 12:20:47 19.705


             .

             . 

             .

So I want to make a programma in C++ that reads the daytime and make it a root file! Is this possible?Do you know how to help me?
