RE: Opening Castor files

Hi,

I've installed a more recent version but I still have the same problem. By the way, before I meant,

TFile *f = TFile::Open("rfio://castor/cern.ch/grid/atlas/datafiles/rome/recov10/rome.003045.recov10.H1_130_4l/rome.003045.rec$ Error in <TRFIOFile::TRFIOFile>: file castor/cern.ch/grid/atlas/datafiles/rome/recov10/rome.003045.recov10.H1_130_4l/rome.003045.recov10.H1_130_4l._00198.CBNT.root.1 does not exist

the example pointed to a directory instead. The ROOT version now is,

FreeType Engine v2.1.9 used to render TrueType fonts. Compiled on 28 June 2005 for linux with thread support.

  this is a very old version of ROOT, could you try a newer version?
