Hello,

I have not problem visualizing PNG files generated by ROOT using a web browser like IE or firefox. I have made a web page using a such file and it works. See:
http://couet.home.cern.ch/couet/root/hsimple.html I used the latest ROOT version (just released).

Cheers, O.Couet

Subject: [ROOT] png files visible with ImageMagick but not on web
browser.

Hello,

I am using ROOT version 4.04/02f to produce png files in batch mode.
The files are produced and can be viewed perfectly with the ImageMagick
component display. When I try to view the files using a web browser or
on Windows I ge something like:

The image

"blah.png"
cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. However I can use ImageMagick to reproduce the format. I.e. save as
"blah.png" and overwrite the old version, and then the file can be
viewed without any problems. Does anybody know anything about this problem and how fully usable png files may be produced directly from ROOT? Many Thanks, Stephen
