Dear Colleagues,
  I am trying to compile the new version of ROOT on debian. If I checkout version 504/00 I get two problems, one in configure line 1367 related with the lookup path of qt libs. I have checkout the HEAD today and I saw that this problem was solved. However the second problem is remaining in 5.05.01. The make debian just stops with the error:

dh_testdir
dh_testroot
dh_clean -k -s -Xdebian/tmp
dh_clean: I have no package to build

make[1]: *** [install-arch] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/mnt/hda7/knx/fixes/packages.source/root-5.05.01' make: *** [debian] Error 2

The debian subdirectory has in fact no binaries. I am using debian sarge.
Can you reproduce the problem?

There is another problem with the external pythia libraries. To compile the root pythia libraries in debian a dependency rule is set to the package pythia6 that can be built using the tools: apt-get install montecarlo-installer-data http://borex.princeton.edu/~kmccarty/nonfree.html#mc does not work properly with root since it is missing the fixes on the interface libraries by Rene.

tpythia6_called_from_cc.F
pythia6_common_address.c
echo 'void MAIN__() {}' >main.c

I succeeded in creating a debian package for pythia6 the works with root but I am using makePythia6.linux which is not very elegant. Can Kevin try to fix it?
All the best,
