Hi Alberto,
cl.exe is the MSVC compiler on windows.
Make sure you have the MSVC compiler kit installed and the correct settings of your enviroment variables. If you want you can get the windows MSVC kit for ROOT from the ROOT download pages where it says something like "Nick an Eijndhove's ROOT kit for Windows"

Dear all,

I downloaded the ROOT executables for Windows, and it works fine, but I have problems in compiling macros. I have never used ROOT in windows, so I amafraid I forgot something to add to the OS in order to make it work well. Unfortunately, the error messages I get are in italian (because it is my personal laptop), so I think you will not understand well where the problem is.

Essentially, it searches a program "cl.exe" which is not found.

What do I need to do to solve the problem?
