ROOT (?) problem using gcc 4.1

Hi,
 I recently installed gcc version 4.1.0 20060304 (FC5) and recompiled ROOT 5.10/00
from scratch. When running ROOT in combination w/ GEANT4 (geant4.8.0.p1, also
recompiled) I get the following error message when running the executable:

I have no idea whether this problem is related to ROOT or GEANT4 or gcc (or any combination).
Did anybody experience a similar problem and, if so, is there a solution?

Any help is highly appreciated.
