interactive text locks root

Hello,

When I attempt to use the toolbar on a canvas to add text to a plot root locks up. I testted as follows:

root [0] .x demos.C
root [1] hsimple : Real Time = 4.57 seconds Cpu Time = 3.77 seconds
View -> Toolbar
Interactively drawing a line, arrow etc works, as does drawing an empty pave. Interactively drawing a pave with pave_label, pave_text, paves_text or text/latex locks up root, which must be killed from another console.

I'm using 5.11/02 updated via cvs this morning (same problem existed before the update).
