Hello talks,

The main problem of the criticism section it is written by someone who is not using ROOT and ignores the advice http://root.cern.ch/root/roottalk/roottalk06/0787.html

"P.S.: Someone not using ROOT should not write an article on ROOT in Wikpedia!"

Such sort of "criticism" must be supported by serious solid published investigation rather by rumors. The Wikipedia article may have provided the correct reference to such paper.

There are several solid ROOT publications on issue. It is not possible naively using "talking" neither confirm nor dismiss Andy's statements though.

I think we should return to the Fons's suggestion

http://root.cern.ch/root/roottalk/roottalk06/0764.html

"If you or somebody else wants to update the ROOT wiki page, please be our
guest."

Have a nice day,

                           Valeri
