Hi, I'm testing my code with root-5-12/00, but I have some problems while using TMapFile.
I noticed that even the tutorial "hprod.C" seems not to work: here is the output of the command:

# rootn.exe hprod.C

root [0]

Error in <TMapFile::TMapFile>: no memory mapped file capability available Use rootn.exe or link application against "-lNew" Memory mapped file: hsimple.map

Title:                Demo memory mapped file with histograms
Option:               file closed

My system set-up is:
OS: Gentoo Base System version 1.6.15
kernel: 2.6.16-gentoo-r9
root-version: Version 5.12/00 10 July 2006 root-configuration: installed with "./configure && make && make install"
