  Thank you very much for your update
  (by the way, the "firefox" you mentioned is Qt-based application)   Stan, can you run ROOT "benchmarks.C" macro?   I would be interesting to see the ROOTMARKS with the "normal"   "X11/Root- X11" vs "X11/QtRoot" vs "NX/QtRoot".
