Can you say what matrix it is? Is it one I have control over?

Yes, I will try to do this.

[Also, in the spirit of full disclosure, I must say that this problematic geometry is generated by an an extension to VGM I'm developing (inputting AGDD XML) so if there is any bug, its likely in my code and not VGM, proper.]
