Re: [ROOT v5.14.00 Mac OS X] make failure and ltmain.sh

I am installing ROOT v5-14-00 on OS X 10.4.8. After successfully running ./configure, running make fails due to a mismatch between libtool and ltmain.sh versions. The advice is to run libtoolize -- copy --force, but it doesn't seem to exist on my computer. Here is the abbreviated output of an attempt to make:

• Building pcre/src/pcre-6.4/.libs/libpcre.a... checking for gcc... gcc checking for C compiler default output file name... a.out checking whether the C compiler works... yes checking whether we are cross compiling... no

...

checking for correct ltmain.sh version... no

• Gentoo sanity check failed! ***
• libtool.m4 and ltmain.sh have a version mismatch! ***
• (libtool.m4 = 1.5.18, ltmain.sh = VERSION=1.5.18) ***

Please run:

   libtoolize --copy --force

if appropriate, please contact the maintainer of this package (or your distribution) for help.
