Hi Fons,

With you CVS commit last night:-

  date: 2007/04/02 09:42:25; author: rdm; state: Exp; lines: +13 -13    we now generate for every library.so a library.rootmap file in the lib

   directory. These rootmap files are generated automatically when the    associated LinkDef file(s) or the config/Makefile.depend is changed.    No more "make map" needed, rootmaps are always up-to-date!

we now see lots of warnings of the type:-

  Warning in <TEnvRec::ChangeValue>: duplicate entry
<Library.TX11GL=libRGL.so libGraf3d.so libGui.so libGraf.so libHist.so
libGed.so> for level 0; ignored
  Warning in <TEnvRec::ChangeValue>: duplicate entry
<Library.TX11GLManager=libRGL.so libGraf3d.so libGui.so libGraf.so
libHist.so libGed.so> for level 0; ignored   Warning in <TEnvRec::ChangeValue>: duplicate entry
<Library.TGLObject=libRGL.so libGraf3d.so libGui.so libGraf.so
libHist.so libGed.so> for level 0; ignored   Warning in <TEnvRec::ChangeValue>: duplicate entry
<Library.TPointSet3DGL=libRGL.so libGraf3d.so libGui.so libGraf.so
libHist.so libGed.so> for level 0; ignored

when we first run ROOT (on SL Release 3.0.3).

If I look at for example TPointSet3DGL:-

  cd $ROOTSYS/lib
  grep TPointSet3D *.rootmap

I do indeed find it twice:-

  libGraf3d.rootmap:Library.TPointSet3D: libGraf3d.so libGraf.so libHist.so libGpad.so

  libRGL.rootmap:Library.TPointSet3DGL:                      libRGL.so
libGraf3d.so libGui.so libGraf.so libHist.so libGed.so

Do we have something mis-configured?

Cheers,
