Currently, you must clone/copy each of the (friend) tree individually. (You can get the list via master->GetListOfFriends()).

Hi rooters,

I'd like to make a subset of my original ROOT files using my selection condition.
My original ROOT files contain more than 20 trees and a master tree which make friendship with all other trees. My TChain grabs the master tree so that it knows about all other trees.

Do you know how to copy all friend trees to the new subset ROOT file as well as the master tree?
