The VC ++ compiler does not create any "libCore.a", it creates "libCore.lib" instead. Can you elaborate how you compile your project?

Subject: [ROOT] Static version of libCore?

Hello,

when I try to compile the latest version of GATE (from http://opengatecollaboration.healthgrid.org) with Cygwin using VC++ 8 or 9 on Windows XP, I get an error message that libCore.a could not be found. Since the latest version of GATE only works with Root 5.14/00, I used Root 5.14/00i, that I could compile under Windows XP without any problems. Does anybody know, how to create libCore.a or could anybody send me this file?

Thanks!
