symbol lookup error for libNet.so

Dear all,

I try to upgrade my code from version 5.12.00e to the current version 5.19.02. It uses only basic functionality like TFile, TH1, TNtuple,... The code compiles with the new version but when I try to run the executable, I get the following error:
./mkfactory: symbol lookup error: /Software/ROOT/root/lib/libNet.so: undefined symbol: _ZNK12TApplication2lsEPKc

I read in the release notes of 5.16. that libNet was part of libCore in earlier versions of ROOT but that the change should be transparent for the end-user.

Any ideas what could go wrong? I checked ROOTSYS, LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH, they all point to version 5.19.02. Any help appreciated!

Cheers,

        Matthias
