Error: Minuit[.so | .sl | .dl | .a | .dll] does not exist

Hi there!

I run ROOT 5.17/05 which I obtained from http://mirror.phy.bnl.gov/debian-root/ubuntu/ on Ubuntu 7.10. If I try to fit a function, I get the error that Minuit would not exist.

root [0] .x root-test.c
Error in <TUnixSystem::DynamicPathName>: Minuit[.so | .sl | .dl | .a | .dll] does not exist in .::/usr/lib/root/5.17 <TCanvas::MakeDefCanvas>: created default TCanvas with name c1

Can I install it seperately or what is the best way to solve my problem?
