Hello Wim,
I built python 2.5.2 from the source but in default its makefile creates i386 executable. It has "universal" option, but it creates only ppc/i386.
$ ./configure --help
--enable-universalsdk[=SDKDIR]
Build agains Mac OS X 10.4u SDK (ppc/i386)
I will investigate if I can build x86_64 python on Leopard. Or I will build ROOT in i386 mode.
