It depends how you want to define your surfaces.

http://root.cern.ch/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=35441#35441 It shows how TF2 can be rendered using the simple QtRoot-based code ( written by Stefano Carrazza. The picture http://root.cern.ch/phpBB2/download.php?id=3799 shows the superposition of the surfaces defined by TF2. One of them is F(x,y) = x + y, i.e. it is the plane

It was not mentioned at the time that the example can be used to render and superimpose the arbitrary number of the F(x,y) TF2 functions including the planes.

As far as I know, there are several projects to use this example as a pattern to create the real time applications.
