Reading field values with SQL classes

Dear all,

I would like to practice a bit with SQL ROOT classes, but I got a little bit confused about how I could read the value of a field. Apparently, the TSQLRow class contains a GetField() method which is a virtual const char*, so I don't understand how I could take integer or floating point values and so on.

How should I do?

Thanks,
