Der all ROOT members!

I am a technical student at CERN Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) doing research on how the interplay between an open source community and a sponsored organization (CERN in this case) is. I need to get in touch with users and developers of ROOT within CERN and the HEP community as well as users and developers outside CERN and in other domains.

I will perform unstructured interviews lasting for approximately 45-60 minutes. They will take place via phone late May/early June. I might need to do a short follow up interview at a later stage (but before fall 2010). I am kindly asking you to participate in such an interview.

The research is approved by Rene Brun and Fons Rademakers. The answers will of course be treated in a confidential way, meaning that no one else than I will have access to the interview material. The answers will be anonymous, unless you explicitly allow me to refer to you.

I would appreciate it a lot if you took the time to help me on this matter.

Reply to this email if you are willing to participate.

Best regards, Vegar Lein Ausrod
