Re: Compiling ROOT 5.27 in ubuntu 10.04

Yep, it goes flawless following the steps Fons lists here. You just need to make sure you have installed all the dependencies listed in the link. An Ubuntu desktop installation doesn't include some of those dependencies. In particular libX11-dev doesn't come by default. Use "Synaptic" (System -> Administration -> Synaptic), or "sudo aptitude" in the command line.
