i think that the root/cint version are "associated" together. I guess you are using the setup of a release to have your version of root.

i would suggest to do the stuff proposed by Johannes 30 minutes ago on the forum
hn-atlas-dist-analysis-help_at_cern.ch
==>there is a new version of root available in atlas installation, since yesterday (thanks to the information of Johannes)

==>try to use a new version of root by using a more recent release : release 15.9.0 in atlas
it will give you root 5.26

then you could try to remove the dummy TCanvas and it "should" work (i have not tried, so i can't say if if will fix the problem)
