Hello,
I currently use a lot hadd to add together plots from various subruns, but I was contemplating on adding together also plots from say different pthat regions so that instead of having 6 QCD sample root files I'd have one called QCD.root. However to add those files together I'd need to scale the content according to their relative cross sections. So I was curious as to if there is an easy tool to do that (kinda advanced hadd command) or should I just write a macro that reads in the relevant files, ALL the histograms, scales them and then writes the new ones out again. This would be a bit bothersome with 20+ histograms in every file ...
