Re: root.exe startup is slow in mac 10.6.4

Hi,

  As you can see ROOT is waiting in gethostbyname(). This is normally due to a misconfigured dns. Check the dns setting in you config panel. Maybe there is a search domain still specified that is not available anymore. See e.g. http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20071221101005962
