Hi Axel, thanks, noted and appreciated _but_ it is rather cumbersome to bypass all the administrative issues to give an account away (these are central machines deep behind firewalls). I hope our administrator will be able to solve this -I do not believe it is a problem of ROOT, I was just hoping that someone else has seen and bypassed this in AIX-, otherwise we will follow this suggestion. cheers, filimon
