Hi Yngve,
exactly, principle obstacles are in licensing. I think is a good idea to put root packages in your repository, but before I have to update debian rules because at the moment they works but are a bit old (some deprecated commands, etc..)
This evening I'll send a mail with my changes: in this way we can update the root source and anyone can build debian packages by himself.
