Dear Vassili,

With my root version both the screen output and the PS file appear with a white background for the histo and grey around. Both look like the EPS I send you except for the line width and I gave you the way to tune the line width on PS file. Which ROOT version are you using ?

Cheers,
O.Couet

Dear Oliver,

Please have a closer look: PS (or EPS) file has a light-gray backgroung around the (axis-)frame and white one inside the frame whilst the screen (and PNG) has a uniform light-gray one - easier to see looking at legend which has white backgroung in both cases. Gridlines in PS looking ugly, compare to screen/PNG. I've checked out both on Linux and Windows to make sure that it isn't somehow introduced by the viewer or system libraries.

Regards,

Vassili

P.S. Please excuse my persistence - I wanted to have a nice picture not in a raster format.
