Hi,

We don't distribute CINT binaries with ROOT anymore. And you don't need to build it to use ROOT.

Where do we have the stale info in the users guide? Can you give me the page number?

Cheers, Axel

Subject: [ROOT] about cint

Dear root experts,

the user's guide says that CINT is a stand-alone product and its executable comes with the standard distribution of ROOT ($ROOTSYS/bin/cint)

It seems to me that this is not the case: in the production version 5.28 there is not such an executable $ROOTSYS/bin/cint. Does this affect the behaviour of root?
Is it necessary to separately install CINT?

Thank you
