ok... in the end I dropped (for the moment?) swig b/c of its too much restrictive preprocessor features (I wish they were using llvm/clang -- perhaps a nice GSoC-2012 project) and opted for a rootcint/genreflex based approach (ie: generate the bindings for go from the dictionary informations)

working on the famous last 20% implementation bits... :}
