arguably, that would depend on the actual needs of the user:

   ./configure --disable-reflex --disable-cintex

will do the trick if the user does not have Reflex dictionaries, but only CINT dictionaries. ROOT itself uses CINT dictionaries.

My main point was (and is) that p3.x is a hassle that isn't worth it, unless there is a demand for it and I don't think that demand will come from the experiments due to the increased memory requirements. Even in PyROOT, there are a couple of corner cases that are supported in p2 and not in p3, since no-one has asked for them so far.
