Hello Dears Mentors.

First of all I want to thank you for assigning mentors for ROOT libraries.

I have a proposal to participate with in this year's GSoC, proposal that is related with paralel data processing with MPI as a plug-in for ROOT similar to the root-plugin-net-globus.
The general idea is to do message passing using mpi, serializing the data with TMessages class and parallelize some of the basic mathematical algorithms.

I've made a blog with deeper information about the proposal as is required by GSoC standars. http://rootmpi.blogspot.com/ It's clear that the proposal described there is not final because your ideas and support are needed and well received, and also the schedule and other details are under construction/discussion with possible mentors and this list.

The pilot source code is hosted at https://github.com/omazapa/RootMpi In the master branch I have send and receive functions implemented for the communication with scalars, arrays and objects; and in the branch omazapa I'm working on some functions for collective communication, obviously not yet finished.
