Dear friends, I am running ROOT 0.9 under windows95 and encounter the following problems : * gROOT->Reset() seems to reset also some standard include stuff. To see what I mean, please take at the CERN /afs the files iotest.cc and iotest.dat from directory ~nick/public/root and then do : Root> .L iotest.cc Root> run() However, if you comment out the gROOT->Reset() stmt. in iotest.cc everything runs correctly. If you then also comment out the "void run()" stmt. and then do : Root> .x iotest.cc it seems that nothing happens. Could you please have a look. * In my physics analysis I have a certain histo on my canvas and then select the "Draw Panel". If I then use the slide bar to select a sub-range to be plotted and click the "Draw" button, nothing happens. Is the Draw Panel not yet implemented ? * If I have a certain histo on my canvas, I can change and move the title of the histo. However, when I make a fit through the histo, the title jumps back to the original position (i.e. left upper corner). It would also be nice if I could delete the title, by clicking and selecting "Delete" from the popup menu. Currently this doesn't seem to work now. For the moment I solve the problem by clicking on the histo and set the title to " " (i.e. a blank) and then click on the title box and set the bordersize to 0. However, if I then save the canvas as a .eps file, there is printed 0.02 on the location where before the title was positioned (i.e. right upper corner). Note that 0.02 is also the highest value of my vertical axis. Please have a look at this in view of the new version 1.0 coming soon. Cheers, Nick. *----------------------------------------------------------------------* Dr. Nick van Eijndhoven Department of Subatomic Physics email : nick@fys.ruu.nl Utrecht University / NIKHEF tel. +31-30-2532331 (direct) P.O.
