ROOT at CHEP97. What about a BOF meeting?

From: Rene Brun (Rene.Brun@cern.ch)
Date: Wed Apr 02 1997 - 18:48:04 MEST

At CHEP97 next week in Berlin, we present a paper describing the ROOT
Object persistency system and in particular our current work with PROOF,
the Parallel ROOT Facility now operational on our NA49 Linux cluster.

We are also proposing to organize some kind of ROOT users meeting (BOF)
during one of the evenings (may be Tuesday if we can find a room).
This informal meeting is intended to inform the ROOT users community
about the
latest version 1.00 and the planed developments. We are also very
interested
to discuss suggested developments.

If you intend to participate at this meeting, let me know as soon as
possible.
We will contact the CHEP97 organizers to find a room appropriate in
function
of the number of people responding to this mail.

In case some of you would like to present something (slides or oral
presentation), let me know in advance.

Rene Brun
