Version 1.01, link problem on SGI

Trying to link the root stuff on a SGI, I got the problem of unresolved
symbols. The following symbols are acquainted:
SmcCloseConnection

I know, I'm probably ahead the time schedule, since the release was
scheduled for end of July, but I had to update the running version and
there's no g++-compiled version of 1.00/10 available (as far as I've
seen). Nevertheless, this is rather nasty. Is it possible to remove this
problem? Or did I missed to link a further lib?

Development Version 1.01 of the ROOT Development
Kit (RDK) is available via anonymous ftp for the following platforms:
- Complete
source code (version 1.01/07)(for all systems). However, no Makefile yet.
We hope to include final sources with autoconf functionality
in the coming weeks. Unpack
tar file in your root directory where it will create the src
directory.
- Linux version 1.01/07
(3.8 MB).
You need to have a Motif run-time environment installed to be able to use
ROOT. The latest version (>=0.77) of LessTif,
a public domain clone of OSF/Motif 1.2, works (after installing LessTif's
libXm.so.0 create a link libXm.so.2 to it).
- HP-UX
9.x version 1.01/07 (5 MB).
In case you are running HP-UX 9.x and don't have the HP C++ compiler installed
you also should download the C++ runtime library libC.tar.gz
(61 KB). Unzip and untar before usage.
- HP-UX
10.20 with CC compiler version 1.01/07 (5 MB).
- HP-UX
10.20 with aCC compiler version 1.00/10 (5 MB).
- DEC/Alpha/Unix
with DEC/CXX version 1.01/07 (4.3 MB). This library has been compiled under Alpha/Unix
version 4.0. To use this library, you must have DEC C++ V5.5-004. Older
versions of CXX cannot be used.
- DEC/Alpha/Unix4.0
with g++ version 1.01/07 (5.2 MB).
- AIX 4.1 version 1.01/07
(4.3 MB, works only on AIX 4.4).
- Sun/Solaris
for Sun hardware version 1.01/07 (3.6 MB).
Binaries will work OK under Solaris5.4 or beyond. Note that with previous
versions of Solaris, the Motif libraries were not part of the system.
- Sun/Solaris
for Intel PCs version 1.01/07 (3 MB).
These binaries have been compiled under Solaris5.5.1.
- SGI CC compiler version 1.01/07
(4.8 MB).
These binaries have been compiled under IRIX5.3 with the SGI CC compiler.
There are still some X/Motif problems when opening multiple windows.
- SGI g++ compiler version 1.01/07
(5.9 MB).
These binaries have been compiled under IRIX5.3 with the g++ compiler.

- Windows/NT:
all libraries and executables version 1.01/06 (4.0 MB) self extracting executable
modules only (2.0 MB). Use Winzip
to unpack and run setup.bat. The executable modules only in 1.4MB portions.
Download the 3 files disk1.bin,
disk2.bin and setup.bat,
then run setup.bat in the directory containing the .bin files. This version
has been built using Microsoft VisualC++. The X3D facility is missing
in the current version under Windows. The h2root utility requires
a Fortran DLL called MSFRT40.DLL.
In case you do not have this library already installed on your system,
you can ftp it.
- Windows/95:
all libraries and executables version 1.01/06 (4.0 MB) self extracting executable
modules only (2.0 MB). Use Winzip
to unpack and run setup.bat. The executable modules only in 1.4MB portions.

(3.2 MB).
For the MkLinux (Linux for Mac) version you must have shared library support
installed, the shared library version of X11R6.3, as well as Lesstif >0.77
libraries (shared version) This version of ROOT was only tested on
MkLinux(7600/120) but should work with LinuxPMac. If you don't need h2root,
gzip it !

If a monolithic (non shared) version is needed, we will try to send it to
you.
To use the system, unzip and untar the file. This will create the directory
root. Before getting started read the file root/AA_README.

and Members. The RDK also contains all tutorials and a set of test
programs.
