zooming in a TView

Dear ROOT users and developers,

Could anybody provide me with an example on how to zoom in on a TView using the
mouse button, i.e. changing SetRange by a certain amount, around a coordinate
given by the place of the mouse cursor in the TView window ?

Two related questions: why is a TView in which just one (mother) node
is created not clickable/rotatable ?
Why do I have to repeat twice: SetView or SetRange plus a Draw
before it changes the view ?

Cheers,
           Ivar.
